    Hi m8,
I'm running 3ds max 2018 but the craft director studio 16.2.2 patch is not working? What do I need to re-code in the 3ds max .gup file and the craft director studio .lic file to update the patch.
I'm an Old cracker but still know ollydbg well.

    thx

Has anyone tested this in 3ds max 2018.3 and got it working?
Everything seems to be fine with the patch and the license. When I create something and start recording, all is fine, but as soon as I click on stop recording, max crash right away.
    Anyone noticed the same?

It still works with my 4 year old license (they're still on RLM 8). I suppose they don't worry about cracking :)

@Darry, it shouldn't crash a this point and it's unlikely the cause of any crack (unless one of them had already corrupted memory).
If you got a 3dsmax_minidump.dmp, post it and I'll look at it later (got to go out shortly).

Hello roocoon, thanks for your help :)
I heard from another member that it might be an issue with it if you use max along with a 3dconnexion device, I have that, so I will try to unplug that and try again.
Craft should work with 3dconnexion devices, so I don't know if it's a driver issue from 3dconnexions side, or if Craft made something wrong in this build due it worked before for me.
    Anyway, I will check!

    @roocoon, Thanks for your help!
I have now downloaded the latest 3dconnexion drivers and installed them, and also checked the thread at The Area and checked that the location is right for the scripts and so on.
Craft still crashes max as soon as I click on stop recording, and that is even if I have my 3D mouse connected or not, same issue.
Strange indeed. In max 2016 and 2017 all was fine, with the mouse.

Well, in this case you might have a conflict with something else.
Just because 3dconnection is (presumably) the culprit, it doesn't mean it is to blame. It could be a victim too :)

Remove temporarily any cracks that could affect memory (things like a vray crack). Just let the cracked plugin come up with its original files and make sue you disable any 'extras'.
Don't bother using that plugin and just try Craft Director.
If you still crash, it's likely the 3DConnexion's problem but not certain either. Maybe a dump will point to the culprit or maybe not, if it's memory corruption.

The only cracked plugin I have installed is XMesh and Stoke, the rest is legal, so I will try to disable them and try again.

XMesh and Stoke were direct cracks without fancy memory manipulations. Unlikely they are the cause.
Send Max's minidump.dmp over just in case I see something. If you try that route, send the zipped dmp link though PM.
