    I have installed FumeFX 3.5.1 at C:\Program Files\Autodesk\3ds Max 2014\stdplugs\plugins and update me plugin.ini (inside en-US) with the following lines:

    [Directories]
    AfterworksCommon=C:\Program Files\Autodesk\3ds Max 2014\stdplugs\plugins\AfterWorks\Common
    FumeFX=C:\Program Files\Autodesk\3ds Max 2014\stdplugs\plugins\AfterWorks\FumeFX
    AfterworksOptional=C:\Program Files\Autodesk\3ds Max 2014\stdplugs\plugins\AfterWorks\Optional

    But when I initialize my 3ds Max 2014 I get the following error:

    [IMG]

    Somobody knows where can I committed a mistake? Or how can I fix it?

    PS: At the error code 126, "Não foi possível encontrar o módulo especificado." means "Could not find the specified module."

    actual install notes is little confusing..here is what u can do.

    1. Right click on the installer and run as administrator.

    2.Change the default install location to this C:\Program Files\Autodesk\3ds Max 2014

    3. Run AfterFLICS tools as admin, go to the service menu and choose stop, close the program

    4. Copy AfterFLICS.exe from the crk dir to C:\Program Files (x86)\AFLICS and overwrite the original.

    5. Verify that your AfterFLICS.ini has the following info:
    "[Port]
    5022
    [Servers]
    localhost
    [Guests]
    everyone
    <end>"

    6. Run AfterFLICS tools as admin, go to the service menu and choose start.

    7. Open C:\Program Files\Autodesk\3ds Max 2014\plugin.in and verify that you have the following:

    [Directories]
    AfterworksCommon=C:\Program Files\Autodesk\3ds Max 2014\plugins\AfterWorks\Common
    FumeFX=C:\Program Files\Autodesk\3ds Max 2014\plugins\AfterWorks\FumeFX
    AfterworksOptional=C:\Program Files\Autodesk\3ds Max 2014\plugins\AfterWorksOptional
    [Help]
    FumeFX=C:\Program Files\Autodesk\3ds Max 2014\help\FumeFX.chm

    8. Copy the information/text file above and paste it into ?C:\Program Files\Autodesk\3ds Max 2014\en-US\plugin.ini or to whatever language folder you are using rather than en-US.

    9. Go to Create/Geometry/FumeFX and select it. An AfterFLICS Authorization window will appear.
    Select localhost and then click Authorize.

    10. At the Product Authorization window, select Manual Auth.
    Enter the number of licenses desired and use any number for the Auth Code, and select Authorize.

    simple answer to that is most likely yes.... most software these days and even much older stuff, would normally install to the boot drive, which is the majority of cases is Drive C.. The problem with changing that, can and will cause lots of problems

    AfterFLICS problem in the Authorization Window in MAX

    So I followed everything you posted about copying and pasting. I even had to create a Fumefx.ini file in the plugin folder to get FumeFX to stop having an error when I opened the program. .

    Now, I'm trying to activate this damn thing..
    I select the LocalHost and Authorize. .
    next window where it has the online or manual reg, well the text box next to it says this..

    "AfterFLICS Error!
    Please check AfterFLICS installation."

    when I try to authorize, it attempts to connect a lot of strings, but then it comes up with a "License error 0"

    What'd I mess up here. . . I've been working on this stupid thing for like 2 hours now.
    it's just dumb. . . and makin me mad.

    Trouble with install FumeFX 3.5.4

    Hey guys I just wanted to ask if anyone has any idea what is going here.

    I have followed all the procedures and I seem to be getting a different problem with this install.

    After clicking Authorize I get license does not exist however, afterFLICS is telling me that the authorization is done and the license has been freed. after clicking on the fume FX box it just askes me to authorize again.

    AfterFLICS is telling me that it is listening on port 5022 and the IP is at 127.0.0.1. while I have it running.

    Any ideas???

    Cheers,

    SunnyJim.

    You must open fumefx.dlo using Dependency Walker and find files that are incompatible with your CPU bit (x64 or X86) and replace those with files that have correct CPU bit version. :)
