    A number of fixes and updates in the last couple of releases.

    Details at: http://ephere.com/plugins/autodesk/maya/ornatrix/index.html

    Changelog for 2.3.6.19570

    New: MoovPhysics Save/Load/Reset Parameter Sets
    New: Alembic import into Baked Guides (WIP)
    New: Mesh from Strands conform to surface option
    Fixed: Render version of hair not rendering when just importing an Alembic file into Ornatrix
    Fixed: Strand groups are not imported from Alembic files

    Changelog for 2.3.5.19474

    New: Added an option to Animation Cache to completely overwrite input hair
    New: MoovPhysics: Ability of simulation to affect only given strand groups
    Fixed: Edit Guides rotate strands shouldn't alter strand shape
    Fixed: Crash on Alembic import/export when using Optimized Mesh display
    Fixed: Clumped strand tips displaced when using round clumps
    Fixed: Bug with Optimized Mesh and Surface Comb
    Fixed: Maya crashes when using auto-generated texture coordinates
    Fixed: MoovPhysics: string parameter GUI controls disabled after reload
    Fixed: Rotating and then editing guides in Edit Guides modifier can distort strand shapes

    For lack of any other running renderer for Maya 219 in my laptop, I have to revert to Maxwell. C'est la vie.

    Nice roocoon ... is that the best there is for Maya? That's not a self portrait is it :)

    Self-portrait? No way Jose. Not really. I doubt it. There is some resemblance but my hair is a bit less and a different color. Ergo, it can't be my self-portrait. Oof, that's a relief... :)

    As for being the best for Maya, at this time, it seems to be.
    Technically, it provides enough controls to do almost anything. On top of that, it's in active development (with quick developer response) which will only make it better.
    But like anything else, the results depend on the user's talent and not the software.
    To paraphrase somebody else, don't ask what the software can do for you but what you can do with it.

    @dreamof3d, On the one above I used Maxwell since I have nothing else on my Maya 2019.
    It's an old scene and probably a bit incompatible with the current versions. You should apply a width modifier and/or reduce the number of rendered hair.

    @tanzid js, 2.3.6 and even 2.3.7 has been "reproduced" already by one of the regular suspects and is out in the open.
    It's a demo (like my cracked demos) that is passed around as a retail. But it's a simple fix (once you know how) and it works as good.

    Maya 2019 - Windows 10

    Ephere folder in C:\ProgramData
    Ornatrix folder in C:\ (in my case)
    Ornatrix.mod in C:\Program Files\Autodesk\Maya2019\modules

    Edit the MOD file , replace with this:

    + MAYAVERSION:2019 Ornatrix 2.3.6.19570 C:\Ornatrix
    plug-ins: 2019
    [r] scripts: scripts/Autoload
    PATH +:= bin
    PYTHONPATH +:= scripts/Python
    MTOA_EXTENSIONS_PATH +:= 2019/extensions
    ORNATRIX_ARNOLD_PROCEDURAL_PATH := 2019/procedurals/OrnatrixProcedural.dll
    PRMAN_EXTENSIONS_PATH := 2019/extensions
